Instructor Education Courses
The Keep On Moving course is an education opportunity that provides knowledge for fitness leaders surrounding exercise as it relates to chronic disease and aging. Keep On Moving strives to increase awareness of chronic disease and safety in fitness classes and to promote accessible, safe exercise options within the community.
Keep On Moving includes 12 hours of lecture style instruction (12 CECs)
Topics Presented:
Safety and Risk Management, Aging, A range of chronic conditions commonly seen in fitness environments, Mental Health, Goal Setting, Exercise Guidelines (as set by the American College of Sports Medicine), and Emergency Response.
