Pool Pilates

This adaptive Pilates class takes place in the leisure pool at the Tournament Capital Centre. Participants will need to be able to get themselves into and out of the pool independently or with their own aid. The principles of the Pilates method: centering, control, precision, fluidity, breathing and concentration, combined into a mind-body program increasing flexibility, and sharpening stability, coordination and posture. Pool Pilates combines the buoyant, cooling, and joint easy benefits of aquatic fitness with the principles and movements of Pilates, for an incredibly effective, safe and enjoyable Pool Pilates Program. Exercises are done in all planes: vertical, supine, prone and coronal.
